As independent financial consultant, Fabián de Paul gets involved in mergers and acquisitions transactions and consulting assignments, mostly in Argentina.
Fabián worked for Louis Dreyfus Commodities ((LDC) until September 2009, where he acted as Executive Director of the South Latin American Region (Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay, Chile and Perú) between 2007 and 2009 and as CFO between 2001 and 2009.
LDC is a major originator, processor and exporter of agricultural commodities in the region, with assets over $2 bn and 1,000 employees.
Prior to that, Fabián worked for CEI Citicorp Holdings until between 1997 and 2000, as Director in charge of the cable TV investments of CEI. He also acted as CFO of Cablevisión between 1998 and 2000.
Between 1994 and 1997, Fabián was a Director with Merrill Lynch & Co., in Buenos Aires and New York, providing investment banking services to oil and gas companies in Latin America and telephone industries in Argentina.
Between 1989 and 1994, Fabián worked for Citibank in Buenos Aires and New York, where he held various positions in Corporate Finance including trading, mergers and acquisitions and acquisition financing.
Fabián holds an MBA from Wharton (1989) and bachelors’ degrees in Accounting (CPA) and Business Administration from Universidad Católica Argentina.
